I have a wide range of work experience ranging from journalistic work, work in marketing, and also within hospitality. It is this wide range of experience that makes me who I am.

Worked as a freelancing journalist where I have been commissioned by various publications and businesses to feature and work as publicity for events.
Writing Contributor – Culture Cardiff | 2025 – 2026
Worked as a contributor for a local culture-based magazine. Has reported on theatre, and focused on community projects like Cynefin Pamela’s Afro-hair workshop and Age Alive.
Interviewer – Iris Prize | Apr 2026
Interviewed previous filmmakers and members of the Iris Prize family for the organisation’s Oral History Project.
Work Experience – Newsquest | Apr 2026
Was on placement for my Master’s degree in the South Wales Argus newsroom. Worked with professional journalists on pieces including: an evaluation of Wales’s anti-racism action plan, a woman walking every day to raise money for cancer, and a piece on transgender visibility day.

Interviewer for the Times Graduate Survey, interviewing over 30 students to gain insight into graduate job opportunities for The Times newspaper. Was given two awards for being the first person to reach the 25-person minimum, and for completing the highest number of interviews on the first day.
Work Experience – Newsquest | Jan 2025
Worked closely with professional and experienced journalists who supported and mentored him in writing articles for the South Wales Argus. Examples of work include interviewing Al Jazeera’s Adrian Finighan, and reporting on the first Afro Hair Show in Wales.

In this role worked on a variety of projects, including a documentary on mental health in women’s sports and reporting on a Transgender Liberation March.

Marketing Intern – Iris Prize LGBT+ Film Festival | Jun – Sep 2025
A marketing internship, this role is focused on creating content, writing reviews, and validating screening assets. Has worked several events for Iris, including a Summer Party spent engaging with filmmakers.
Business Intern – Think Pacific, Bali | Jun – Jul 2024
Interned with Think Pacific in Bali, supporting local businesses by coming up with business strategies and marketing ideas. This included growing Magi Farm’s Social Media presence through different business strategies.

Panellist for the charity’s “Intergenerational Employability & Careers Event” which focused on LGBTQ+ inclusion and bystander intervention. I spoke about my experiences as a journalist, and my own experiences being a leader for the LGBTQ+ community.
President – Cardiff University Pride Society | 2024 – 2026
Elected as President of the Cardiff University Pride Society after reviving the society. In this role supported students across campus by hosting events such as pub quizzes and attending a Transgender Vigil. Lead CU Pride into receiving National acclaim winning ‘Inclusive Society of the year’ at the National Student Pride Awards. Has also been pivotal in managing the society’s social media accounts.

Sat on the jury for the Iris Prize Festival’s ‘Community, Education, and Micro-Shorts competition’ because of my work as both an intern and journalist. Worked with three other panelists to collaborate and decide the winning films.
