I am a TEFL qualified teacher in Thailand looking for journalism jobs.
I am a Gold-standard NCTJ accredited journalist with a Masters degree in News Journalism and a (2:1) Undergraduate degree in English Literature and Creative Writing, both from Cardiff University.
I believe that everyone has a story worth telling and I want to platform them.
I have been published across various platforms including: South Wales Argus, Iris Prize, Culture Cardiff, HotSource Magazine, Cardiffian, UniFresher, Quench, Gair Rhydd, and The Tab.
Skills & Interests
Communication – As president of CU Pride, has represented and championed the LGBTQ+ community through front-line leadership which has included giving speeches to large audiences. Has collaborated with the Make a Smile charity and Cardiff University’s Transgender Society to deliver a wide array of events including quizzes and picnics.
Exercise. An important hobby in providing clear head space, a regular runner who enjoys being outside as much as working inside. Has competed in a half marathon October 2024 to raise money for the Charity Mind.
Self-Motivation – Self-motivated and always striving to achieve the highest grades possible in work. Outside of University has done an extensive amount of extra-curriculars including internships, societies, and projects.
Teamwork – Having sat on two separate committees, demonstrated how to be a key player both in leading and supporting roles. In CUTV, has worked on several projects and stepped up to assist teammates when they’ve been unavailable. Has experience working in a bar team, marketing teams with Think Pacific, and part of the Iris Prize team.
LGBTQ+ Issues. Places great importance in making sure members of the LGBTQ+ community are heard and represented, and believes everyone regardless of sexuality deserves representation in media. As president of Cardiff University’s Pride Society has spearhead the fight against discrimination.
